Artist Thomas Adam graduated from Edinburgh College of Art (ECA) in 2011. His work focuses on an abstracted semi-autobiographical version of his youth growing up in rural Scotland.

Whilst studying Illustration at ECA, Bee developed their distinctive and quirky style, which is often characterised by themes of mental health and queer identity. Having taken on many external clients whilst still a student, Bee even had their final year work displayed on the windows of ECA’s Evolution House as a part of the graduate shows.

As a mature student, Gary had to juggle his studies with the responsibilities of family life, However this did not hold him back and he followed his dream of studying at ECA, acquiring a range of skills and participating in exhibitions and field trips across the country,

Since graduating in 2016, Vera Babida has been shortlisted for several awards including a BAFTA 'New Talent' nomination and was selected as one of It’s Nice That’s 'The Graduates 2016'. She offers advice to new students and recent graduates, from getting yourself out there to making mistakes.

Since graduating from our Performance Costume programme in 2016, Lily has worked on seasons seven and eight of ‘Game of Thrones’, the ‘Krypton’ season 2 and is currently working on a soon-to-be-released Sony Pictures and Amazon Studio television fantasy epic.

While studying Photography - BA (Hons) at ECA, Josephine was able to explore a variety of mediums in the array of facilities ECA has to offer. Despite studying through the Covid-19 pandemic, Josephine was able to display her work through several exhibitions alongside her peers.

While studying at ECA, Katherine has been able to explore her interest in using visual language as a tool for educating, empowering and eradicating stigma. Primarily digital, her work focuses on changing cultural perceptions of menstruation in the UK through a range of projects from prints to a graphic novel.

After searching across the country for the right degree, Esme settled on Edinburgh for her undergraduate studies in Architectural History. Having developed her practical and theoretical skills at ECA, Esme has gone on to work as a Heritage consultant in an architectural practice right here in Edinburgh.
