After falling in love with Edinburgh after her first interview, Kathryn was set on jewellery at ECA. The programme enabled Kathryn to refine her skills as well as utilising new materials and methods such as wax carving. Since leaving university, Kathryn’s work has found social media fame with her iconic animal ‘nose’ rings selling out in minutes.

After transferring from the MA Architecture programme, Joe found an interest and excitement for product design and a specific interest in the conceptual areas of design that cross over with other disciplines like synthetic biology and computer science.

Anna Robbins graduated with a first class honours degree in Performance Costume at ECA. Anna is a successful costume designer and has worked on numerous prestigious productions, including Downton Abbey, The Father, The Last Letter From Your Lover, Sunshine On Leith, The Bletchley Circle and Cuckoo.

The graduate was selected for RSA NEW CONTEMPORARIES and received a full scholarship for the Royal Drawing School.

Studying Product Design - BA (Hons) offered Alexandra a huge variety of design modules and courses which have not only allowed her to discover her interests within a broad subject matter but equipped her with the skills to gain a job in the industry.

Sarah returned to ECA to continue her artistic education after being awarded the Andrew Grant Scholarship to study on the Illustration - MA programme.

Rebecca performs with Free Nelson Mandoomjazz, a trio she formed in Edinburgh with classmate, Paul Archibald, and their mutual friend, Colin Stewart. Rebecca is also a composer for various media, including films, video games and animation.

Studying MA (Hons) History of Art gave Zelda the opportunity to explore her interests in cultural policy, race and representation through varied programme subject matter, broad range of electives and extracurricular activities.

Caelan pursued a degree at ECA due to the MA Fine Art programme’s combined art history and art practice structure. During their studies, Caelan enjoyed topics such as medieval representations of gender and helped found student art collective ‘Queer as Muck’. Since graduating, they have been able to continue the collective and promote exhibitions in Edinburgh. In the near future, Caelan hopes to work towards practicing as an Art Therapist.

Aspiring to pursue a career as a professional violinist, Andrew decided to study Music - BMus (Hons) to expand his knowledge of the field, beyond purely the creative practice, to explore composition, critical thinking and the philosophy of music and its wider place in society.

Daniel's decision to study at ECA was fuelled by an immense passion for painting but the opportunities he encountered once enrolled on the course are what have shaped his interests in the field today. Culminating in his nomination for the Freelands painting prize, the Purchase Prize from the university’s Art Collection and an opportunity to show at the Royal Scottish Academy New Contemporaries Exhibition in 2023.

Having completed his BA in Sculpture in 2004, Augustus had no hesitations about returning to do an MFA in 2011. In addition to being a practising artist and teacher in Athens, Augustus founded the Snehta residency which aims to promote and facilitate local and international artists.
