Finding sources of funding

Working out how to finance your time at University can be a huge part in deciding where to study.

The University of Edinburgh has an area on its website dedicated to helping you navigate the money side of higher education, including information on tuition fees, scholarships and bursaries.

We recommend that you look at this while you are considering studying with us for a comprehensive insight into what support may be available.

Scholarships and bursaries for potential ECA students

Here at Edinburgh College of Art, we have a number of scholarships and bursaries that are available only to students who will study with us.

Most of them are awarded annually although occasionally there might be a one-off scholarship that applies to a particular programme or area of study.

Financial awards for current students

ECA administers a large number of prizes for on-programme and graduating students each year. These include prizes from the Andrew Grant bequest (awarded annually to art, design, landscape architecture and architecture students at the Graduate Show) plus various awards specific to students studying Music with us.

Information for current ECA students on some of these prizes can be found on the ECA Handbook (login required).
