Why choose us?

ESALA is one of very few schools, internationally, to connect teaching, research and practice in Architecture and Landscape Architecture.
Our professional programmes are accredited by the Royal Institute of Architects (RIBA), Architects Registration Board (ARB) and the Landscape Institute.
We are the largest centre for the study of Architectural History in the UK and a centre of excellence in Digital Media and Design.
Our students can take courses from across the University of Edinburgh and we work closely with Heriot-Watt University, including on world-leading research.
As proud holders of an Athena SWAN Bronze Award, we value and encourage diversity in our large, international student and staff community.
