Studying Textiles at ECA allowed Alison to explore a broad range of subject matters within textiles which ignited Alison's interest in material science and sustainability.

Laura pursued Film and TV at ECA because of the programme’s experimental nature and space for developing new and bold ideas. Whilst studying, Laura was able to work alongside students across different courses to make and contribute towards a large variety of films and productions. Here, Laura found a passion for scriptwriting which led them to script supervisor and editor roles. Laura’s hard work was recognised with several awards such as the Best Student Film at the Edinburgh International Film Festival New Visions Competition in 2022.

Since graduation, Laura has been selected to join a script editing programme with ScriptEd and has worked as a Freelance Editor for companies such as Radiance Films.

As a winner of the Hammermen Art Award, a competition set up between the ECA jewellery department and the Incorporation of Hammermen of Edinburgh group, Jemima has been able to fund a series of short courses upon graduating from ECA to continue her explorations of the creative process, particularly her interest in art direction and photography.

After meeting ECA staff in her hometown of Shanghai, Jennifer was inspired to make the move to Edinburgh to study Fashion. Whilst here, she embraced the resources that ECA had to offer and got involved in projects such as design competitions. After graduating, Jennifer has gone on to work for luxury fashion houses and now designs footwear for Lacoste.
