Zain knew he wanted to study Music and ECA’s broad programme offered the perfect level of variety and freedom. Zain was able to explore and experiment across many different niches of music to develop his skills. Having enjoyed modules such as Music in the Community whilst studying here, Zain’s interests have led towards community focused music projects as well as performing.

Studying BA (Hons) Illustration at ECA gave Sammi the opportunity to explore a wide range of illustration practices before finding her passion for character design and cinematic digital illustration where she has been able to explore narratives surrounding personal themes of British-Chinese heritage and anxiety.

For Harvey, Studying Product Design - BA(Hons) at ECA gave him the opportunity to test and evolve his creativity through an array of projects and skills.

In studying Textiles - BA (Hons) Sophie has found a passion in challenging the social and environmental impacts of fast fashion which she hopes to continue to research alongside creating unique artwork.

For Aurélie, studying at ECA gave her the chance to pursue her interest in Fashion where she made the most of the experience, wining first place in a professional project in collaboration with Michael Kors and became a student ambassador working for the university to help with events.

Shaun Fraser graduated from the Glass - BA (Hons) programme at Edinburgh College of Art (ECA) in 2012. He is currently doing an MA at the Royal College of Art in London, and took part in the 2016 An Sùileachan Residency, based on the Isle of Lewis.

Amelie has had a traineeship in the menswear workroom of the TV series "Outlander".

Daniela Groza designed a fully digital collection for her 2020 graduate show and created a ‘Virtual Try-on' event allowing people to use an Instagram filter to virtually try on pieces of jewellery from the programme's graduating students.

While studying at ECA, Aayushi embraced all of the opportunities on offer, from exhibiting her work in solo exhibitions to attending lectures by the philosophy society.

Lily was drawn to ECA due to the unique nature of the Acoustics and Music Technology course which combined her interests of music and physics. After visiting for the first time, Lily fell in love with the city of Edinburgh.

Since graduating, Lily now works for an environmental organisation where she carries out recordings for noise monitoring which is closely tied with the theme of her final dissertation.

Tabi was drawn to ECA due to the MA Fine Art programme enabling students to study both art practice and history of art alongside each other over the course of five years. Tabi was drawn to this mixture as it included both of her interests, particularly in research.

Since leaving University, Tabi has gone on to work for the David Zwirner Gallery in London to learn more about the sales side of the art world as well as creating and selling art at fairs.

Lucy chose to study Performance Costume at ECA because the programme, unlike the majority of UK performance costume courses, offers tuition in both making and design.
