Expanding Cinema is a research cluster that brings together researchers working with artists’ moving image and experimental cinema. It offers a platform for researchers, practitioners, and public audiences to respond critically and discursively to aesthetically, formally inventive, and radical filmmaking that seeks to engage with the complexities of our times.
Our activities include events in which members can share and discuss works-in-progress in a supportive environment, and a year-round programme of public events, including film screenings, and in-conversation session with filmmakers and guest speakers.
