The Dada & Surrealism Research Group (DSRG) has been established to bring together world-class scholarship on Dada and Surrealism across the University of Edinburgh. The Group provides an interdisciplinary forum for staff and students to facilitate exchanges between researchers, practitioners, and curators.

Dada & Surrealism Research Group members are working on leading international projects and collaborate closely with some of the world’s greatest art institutions, including MoMA, Royal Academy of Arts, LACMA, National Galleries of Scotland, National Gallery of Canada, The Photographers’ Gallery, and TATE.

DSRG meetings are held twice each semester, during which group members discuss new work.

External speakers are regularly invited to deliver lectures and workshops as part of our undergraduate and postgraduate courses, and to give public talks at the weekly History of Art Research Seminar Series.

The DSRG welcomes staff and students from across the University of Edinburgh. Please get in touch with the Group Convener, Paulina Caro Troncoso, if you would like to join and share your expertise.
