Bucher-Fraser Scholarship (for new students)

Carnegie / Caledonian PhD Scholarships

Edinburgh College of Art PhD Interdisciplinary Scholarship

  • Eligibility: If wishing to commence a new programme of study in September 2018 you must ensure that you have fully completed and submitted your PhD programme application for admission using the University's online system by no later than 25th January 2018.

Edinburgh College of Art UK/EU Masters Scholarships

  • Eligibility: The scholarships will be awarded to UK or EU nationals who have applied for admission on a full-time basis for a postgraduate Masters degree programme of study (taught or research) at the Edinburgh College of Art. If wishing to commence a new programme of study in September 2018 you must ensure that you have fully completed and submitted your Masters programme application for admission using the University's online system by no later than 22nd February 2018.

Edinburgh Global Online Distance Learning Scholarship

  • Eligibility: Awarded to the final year student who has made the most outstanding contribution to the musical life of the faculty, the University of Edinburgh, or of the wider Edinburgh community.

Erasmus grant

  • Eligibility: Students registered on a full-time programme who are undertaking a minimum of two months' continuous work or three months' study mobility.

Frederick Niecks Essay Prize

  • Eligibility: Open to any full-time undergraduate student in the Reid School of Music. Awarded to the best dissertation.

GREAT Scholarships

  • Eligibility: Awarded to a student from India who is accepted for admission on a full-time basis for a one-year taught postgraduate Masters programme.

Gwen Clutterbuck & Leighton Scholarship

  • Eligibility: Awarded to Music graduates, Music undergraduates who have passed the first examination, or for the BMus students for the purpose of travel and study abroad.

Ian Pitt Memorial Prize

  • Eligibility: Intended to commemorate the life and work of Ian Pitt-Watson (MA 1947, BD 1950) and awarded to an undergraduate who, as a member of Edinburgh University Musical Society, demonstrates an aptitude in the development and conducting of a choral ensemble.

Royal Television Society Bursaries

  • Value: £1000 each year for three years to support living expenses, RTS membership, and mentorship
  • Eligibility: Applicants should have career aspirations to work in television, show a demonstrable ability to study, and be keen to be active members of the RTS.

Sir Thomas Beecham Scholarship
