The Knowledge Exchange and Impact (KEI) Team aims to showcase the fantastic knowledge exchange and impact activity that staff across Edinburgh College of Art engage in every day. Please see the KEI Bitesize Videos to learn more about Dr James Cook, Senior Lecturer in Reid School of Music:

The framing of history is really important for the way that we frame our present and look to shape our future. Dr James Cook’s research helps to counter historical narratives which paint Scotland, in a historical context, as culturally insignificant. His research further highlights the importance that music and sound plays in how we engage with the world in both the past and the present and pushes recording techniques forward to ensure that early music is heard and enjoyed by a greater number of people.
