Responsible, ethical, and effective journalism is fundamental to the functioning of democratic society but emerging technologies like artificial intelligence (AI) can be very disruptive to the norms and practices of news production. Dr Bronwyn Jones’ research is embedded with journalists and leverages their expertise to get ahead of these challenges by identifying the big risks and key opportunities, and formulating the best ways to respond so our societies and citizens get the best of technological innovation.
