People, Houses and Money: Mass Housing in the Post War City
Biography
Jessica has always been fascinated by buildings, places and spaces. As a chartered development surveyor, Fellow of the RICS, and member of the IHBC, she has led on delivering some of the UK's biggest regeneration projects. Her research bridges academia and practice, with a focus on urban regeneration and the post-war housing legacy.

My research focuses on the delivery of mass housing in England's post-war cities, particularly in the lesser-studied cities of the south outside London. It seeks to better understand the key characteristics and drivers behind the growth, evolution and decline of multi-storey social housing programmes.
As decision-makers again search for solutions to solve another housing crisis, the research hopes to reveal parallels relevant to policy makers and practitioners involved with residential-led regeneration today.
