Biography

Heather Woof is a part-time teaching fellow in the Jewellery & Silversmithing Department. Heather runs her own jewellery practise in alongside teaching and contributes to all year groups within the department. She is an active practitioner that brings her current working knowledge of the industry to her teaching.

Within her own practise she is best known for her work with innovative chain techniques and her pared back aesthetic. Drawing is a fundamental part of her practise, exploring simplicity of form and methodical process. She works with traditional techniques in precious metals, titanium and steel with a contemporary design approach.

Heather trained at Edinburgh College of Art (BAHons 2010, MA 2012). She has exhibited widely including Collect, Cheongju International Craft Bienalle, Goldsmiths Fair and Loot at MAD Museum. Residencies include: The National Glass Centre and Cove Park.
