Xuechang Leng is a spatial designer, colourist, and researcher. He is currently a Lecturer in Fashion Interior Design at SCF. Xuechang earned his doctoral degree from ESALA at the University of Edinburgh in 2023. His academic journey also includes a period as a Visiting Scholar in Landscape Architecture at Texas Tech University during 2016. In recent years, Xuechang has undertaken extensive practice-led research/ colour installation projects for healthcare environments, including work at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital, Hawthorn House (Glasgow), Leuchie House (North Berwick), and Cumbrae Lodge (Ayrshire). Prior to his time in the UK, Xuechang taught interior design in China, where he also completed interior and architectural colour projects for public and commercial spaces. Xuechang has contributed to several journal articles and conference papers in English, and authored a few interior design books in Chinese.
