Biography

​Chris is a practicing Landscape Architect who founded rankinfraser landscape architecture in 2008.  The practice has won several awards for it's work including; a Landscape Institute Award, Civic Trust Award and several Scottish Design Awards. Chris regularly collaborates with leading architects and artists with the work of rankinfraser being instrumental in two Stirling Prize shortlisted projects in the past two years.  

He has taught in Landscape Architecture at eca since 2001. 

Teaching

​Chris' teaching focuses on design teaching at both post-graduate and under-graduate levels. He is able to bring his significant practice experience to the design studio.

Research

​​​Chris' research output is centered around his practice work and his collaborations with architects and artists in producing contemporary, site specific landscape design.  Recent projects include; The Garscube Landscape Link in Glagow and the Garden for Maggie's Lanarkshire. His practice work has been widely exhibited and published.
