The 2025 Graduate Show has welcomed thousands of visitors to Edinburgh College of Art (ECA), to celebrate the creativity of our graduating students.

Around 11,000 people visited the exhibition on our Lauriston Campus during the week of the show, with a further 5,000 people attending events including the Fashion Show, Performance Costume Show, Music Gig, and screenings for both Animation, and Film & TV. School groups were among the visitors with 609 visitors from 28 schools coming along.

The events also made an impressive digital impact.

With a total of 242 student portfolios from 21 programmes, the Graduate Show website racked up over 30,000 views from 96 countries views across the graduate show period.

Our Instagram channel gathered more than 224,000 views on our Graduate Show grid posts alone. Our most popular post showed crowds pouring into the Sculpture Court for the preview – a short reel watched 15,000 times!

Across both grid and stories, we created and shared more than 700 posts showcasing students' work, many with reactions from visitors delighted with the experience, such as Chris Murray, MP, who said: "Fantastic visit to @edinburghcollegeofart's graduate show today. Such creativity and talent in an inspirational location." Other visitors dropped phrases like "some absolute gems", "absolutely amazing" and "truly spectacular".

The wider media were also paying attention. The Performance Costume photoshoot at Old College featured on the BBC's 6pm and 10pm News, opening a segment on that day’s happenings in Scottish politics, and stills from the shoot were featured in The Independent, i and The Scotsman.
