The winner of ITV's M&S: Dress the Nation series 2, is ECA alumna, Casey Dillon, BA (Hons) Fashion, 2024.

The competition challenges participants to create outfits for M&S, and Casey progressed through five episodes to win Sunday’s final. The three finalists were interviewed by M&S experts, and then challenged to design a statement partywear collection, revealed on the show's finale catwalk. The audience included past contestants, friends, family, industry insiders, and celebrity judges David Gandy, Jodie Kidd, and Marco Capaldo.

Casey's winning design, a gold draped mini dress, is now on sale in some M&S stores and online. She also wins mentorship from the M&S team, learning about design, buying, merchandising, and marketing.

Casey, who was taught to sew by her nan at a young age before finessing her skills at ECA, said: "Winning this competition is a dream come true. It’s been an incredible journey filled with challenges, growth, and unforgettable moments. I’m beyond excited to receive mentorship from such a major fashion retailer, this opportunity will change my life. I can’t wait to take the first step in my career and turn this dream into a reality.”

Programme Director in Fashion, Professor Mal James, said: "We are absolutely delighted for Casey on this incredible achievement. Her success comes as no surprise to us, having witnessed her exceptional talent during her time as a student. Even then, she demonstrated a sharp eye for modern, desirable fashion and a deep understanding of what customers truly want.

"Casey is not only a gifted designer but also a dedicated professional who consistently strives for excellence. We couldn’t be prouder, and we look forward to watching her career continue to flourish."
