Creative Informatics (2018-2024) brought Edinburgh’s world-class creative industries and tech sector together, utilising innovative data-driven technologies to develop ground-breaking new products, businesses and experiences. 
Creative Informatics was one of nine R&D clusters across the UK that make up the Arts and Humanities Research Council’s Creative Industries Clusters Programme, funded by UK Research and Innovation. The programme aimed to accelerate growth in the creative industries by bringing together world class talent from across the UK. Creative Informatics is also supported by additional funding from the Scottish Funding Council, Data Driven Innovation, and DCMS.

Creative Informatics supported over 380 projects, and helped create over 440 jobs for Edinburgh and its regions, and 47 new companies, with a GVA of £78.5m to the region. See more about the project and read the final report.
