The photography suite provides facilities and studios for students to gain a grounding in nearly all aspects of photography including process and developing as well as printing of photographs.
Both analogue and digital photography techniques are demonstrated and supported at Edinburgh College of Art, meaning you will have the opportunity to learn a diverse range of skills across the course of your studies.
The suite has studios equipped for taking photographs, dark rooms for developing in a variety of sizes and formats, a finishing and mounting room, and a computer suite containing Hasselblad scanners.
These facilities are predominately used by Photography students as part of their degree programmes of study, but students from other programmes may use the facilities as required for their course following an induction by Technical Learning Staff, who will introduce students to different photographic and developing techniques, as well as being available to support and guide students on a one-to-one basis where required.
