About the event

Chair: Dr Kirsten Lloyd

Abstract

FAN: Feminist Arts News was a magazine produced in the UK ‘by and for women artists’ between 1978 and 1993. This talk – from a forthcoming book on the subject – will introduce its history, proposing that periodicals were vital not only for communicating new feminist histories but for actively shaping them.
