Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and the University of Edinburgh offer an immersive five-day programme for ambitious producers, programmers, creative artists and performers.

This unique summer school develops artistic entrepreneurial skills in the context of one of the world’s most iconic arts festivals – the Edinburgh International Festival.

You will have the opportunity to attend festival events, engage and network with inspiring artists, directors and producers, and share and reflect critically on your own and others’ artistic practice.

Every element of this summer school is tailored towards enabling you to develop the knowledge and skills required to engage with your practice at a higher professional level. A highlight of the programme will be a series of encounters with leading figures in the arts.

Participation includes tickets to key Edinburgh International Festival events and moderated discussions of the performances. There will also be opportunities for participants to present their own ideas and vision in the presence of visiting professionals.

This year, International Festival Encounters takes place from 18th - 22nd August 2017. The deadline for applications is Friday 30th June 2017.

The fee for the course is £510 and there are several sources of bursary support available.
