The ECA Music Practice Room Passes are now available at the price of £50 for the 2026-27 Academic year (until end of June). 

They are only for active University of Edinburgh students or staff including ECA students and staff that are outside of the Reid School of Music. For students if you are studying on a course within the music department you will get access for that semester so you do not need a practice pass. 

Only 100 passes are available on a first come first served basis via this link: Music Practice Pass. They will give you access to piano music rooms (Grand and Upright), but not any other type of practice rooms such as drums, organ or the isolation booth. 

Please note that the passes will only be activated from the week starting 21st of September.

Further information on booking will be sent once your payment is received and the pass is activated.

Please note, previously these room were accessible to all ECA staff and students, including those not studying on Music courses. However, this access was restricted in 2026.
