Jewellery and silversmithing students have their own purpose-built workbenches equipped with gas torches, lamps, vices and storage spaces for working with hand tools on their projects.
The workshop facilities include an enamelling room with kilns, anodisers and etching tanks and equipment for mould-making.
You will be introduced to some of the fundamental processes you are likely to need on a regular basis to allow you to work effectively and as independently as possible in the workshops. For more complex processes you will have the support of the Technical Learning Services staff who will be able to demonstrate techniques and support you as required.
