Another successful Degree Show and another year of successful graduates and continuing students!


A student project that aims to commemorate and help survivors in dealing with the tragedy of the June 2017 Grenfell Tower fire has been commended by three different architecture prizes. It was shortlisted for the Young Talent Architecture Awards, considered in RIBA’s London Festival of Architecture competition, and was nominated for the RIBA Bronze Medal by ESALA.

The team showcased their project, UK2029, at the international competition.

Shirley Snow picked up the prize at the 2020 Swedenborg Film Festival

Audience members and viewers nominated Reid School of Music graduate Louise Alder as the winner of this year’s Dame Joan Sutherland Audience Prize at the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World competition.

ECA textiles graduate Emma Wilkinson has waltzed away with the top prize in the student subcategory of the annual Hand & Lock Prize competition.

Artist and designer, Siobhan Healy, came to ECA to develop her practice and to explore glass as a medium. Time spent at ECA afforded new opportunities to broaden her research into biodiversity and earth sciences.
