Based at the School of History of Art at Edinburgh College of Art (ECA), the Global Contemporary Research Group examines the impact of globalisation on art, theory, and curating.

ECA alumni form a creative network that has been making its mark on the global arts scene since the early twentieth century.

The talk discusses in what ways conceptualizations of global production networks and transnationality offer an advanced framework for architectural research allowing to take account of multi-scalar interdependencies at work in present-day urbanization.
