The Hamilton & Inches Scholarship Programme was established to support emerging talent in jewellery and silversmithing. It is supported by Hamilton & Inches, a 150 year old family run jewellery retailer, silversmith and watch specialist based in Edinburgh who have held a Royal Warrant as silversmiths to Her Majesty the Queen for more than 120 years.

The programme provides two £1,500 scholarships per annum to 4th year students on the Jewellery & Silversmithing – BA (Hons) programme. Scholarship recipients are also provided with a paid internship at Hamilton & Inches, providing the opportunity to work alongside their talented team of craftsmen. The internship will take place either during term time or the summer vacation.

Deadline: These scholarships and internships are available for current students only and the application process is managed by the School of Design. The School of Design will circulate further information about these opportunities to eligible Year 3 Jewellery and Silversmithing – BA (Hons) students in Semester 1.
