Job title: Research Assistant

Craig has a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Bath, and an MSc in Acoustics from the University of Edinburgh.

His PhD was supervised by Dr Stefan Bilbao, Reader in the Reid School of Music at Edinburgh College of Art, and Dr Alan Gray, Research Architect at EPCC in the School of Physics & Astronomy.

A member of the NESS research group, Craig has worked with high performance computing architectures to accelerate the calculation of large-scale room acoustics simulations using time-stepping finite difference schemes.

After a postdoc at the University of Oxford, he began researching real-time physical modelling plugins, exploring the possibilities for instrument systems running on consumer processors.
