An award winning architectural and interior designer with over 25 years of industry experience in multi-disciplinary design practices, alongside teaching of undergraduate and postgraduate design disciplines and his own creative practice and research. Andrew graduated from the Royal College of Art in 1995 with a Masters Degree in Architecture and Interior Design and went on to work in a range of design focussed architectural practices in London delivering a range of collaborative and community based projects before setting up civic Architects in the mid 2000s.
He has a particular expertise in drawing and design communication throughout projects using hand drawn and digitally driven techniques and has always engaged with innovative computer technologies to augment traditional design values in a broad range of design settings and outcomes. He continues to research drawing theories, construction methodologies and material innovations in all aspects of his work.
Andrew leads design studio projects across all year groups of the Interior Design undergraduate programme. He teaches a range of drawing and 3d design methods using hand drawing and computer aided design technologies at a range of scales and complexities.
