Andrew Connor is a Teaching Fellow in the Edinburgh School of Architecture and Landscape Architecture (ESALA), part of Edinburgh College of Art (ECA) in the University of Edinburgh.
His remit covers the postgraduate MSc programme in Design and Digital Media. He is also currently completing a PhD in Creative Music Practice at ECA, supervised by Professor Raymond MacDonald (Head of Reid School of Music) and Jared Taylor (Head of Animation).
His research and practice combines sound design, electroacoustic music composition, and animation, following on from his MSc in Sound Design at ECA. His areas of interest include immersive audiovisual experiences in virtual reality and performance venues; abstract and digital animation; and sound design for animation and audiovisual installations.
Prior to his recent studies, Andrew worked in radio, film and television, primarily in the BBC's World Service, Drama and Children's Interactive departments, in a range of administrative and production finance roles.
