I am a chartered architect and urban designer, founder and partner in Cuartoymitad Architecture & Landscape with work awarded and exhibited internationally (with Miguel Paredes and Ruth Vega). I have been studio tutor at ESALA in MArch, MSc Urban Strategies and Design and MA/BA for the last four years. I have been previously visiting faculty at TU Graz and UEM Madrid.
My professional studio practice is designed as a laboratory of innovative ideas through projects including the Master Plan for Sustainable Living in the Faroe Islands (Finalist, Nordic Built Cities Challenge International Competition, 2016), the conversion of an eighteenth-century fortress into the Monte Buciero Museum in Santoña, Spain (Próxima-Arquia award 2014) and the ephemeral architecture for the Zinc Shower event in Madrid (COAM award 2014 and Próxima-Arquia award 2014).
I am currently undertaking my PhD research at the Urban Institute, Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh. My research explores the concept of Urban Vitality in the context of non-central residential areas through a qualitative approach based on ethnography.
