Reid School of Music at Edinburgh College of Art is delighted to announce the appointment of contemporary music group Plus-Minus Ensemble to its new Ensemble in Residence position.

Reflecting the Reid School's long-standing commitment to the performance and composition of new music, this venture will open up a range of exciting opportunities for students and staff.

The Ensemble, who will take up the post in September 2019, will work with postgraduate composers on new pieces, and will perform a series of concerts over the year including a featured slot at ECA’s annual Dialogues Festival.

The Plus-Minus Ensemble formed in 2003, is committed to commissioning new work and placing it alongside recent and landmark modern repertoire. They are interested in performative, electroacoustic and conceptual pieces, and experimental open works such as Stockhausen‘s 1963 classic, from which the group takes its name.
