Between 22nd February and 2nd March 2016 students from Edinburgh College of Art (ECA) teamed up with students from institutions in Bulgaria, Canada, and the Netherlands to produce 570 new animated films.
The 10x10x16 project asked participants to make a new film in 24 hours for the ten day project. Collaborating to produce the animation and the music were students from the Animation - BA (Hons), Animation - MA/MFA, and Composition for Screen - MSc programmes at ECA.
They also worked with students from the New Bulgarian University (Sofia, Bulgaria), National Academy of Theatrical Film Arts (Sofia, Bulgaria), the Emily Carr University of Art & Design (Vancouver, Canada), and ArtEZ University of the Arts (Arnhem, the Netherlands).
Films produced during the project will be presented at the Stuff That Moves 2016 exhibition (31st March - 2nd April 2016) and at the Hidden Door Festival (27th May - 4th June 2016).
This is the fifth year in a row that this project has been taken on and completed. All of the work from each year can be viewed on the ECA Animation Vimeo channel.
