In The White Pube: Origin Story, Gabrielle de la Puente and Zarina Muhammad talk candidly about their young and weird careers as critics in the big old white male boring ass art world. They talk money, stress, success and why they are peddling embodied criticism and subjectivity over another way of writing. This talk will be guest hosted by Dr Deborah Jackson.
The White Pube is the collaborative identity of Gabrielle and Zarina under which they write criticism and sometimes curate. The duo publishes a new text every Sunday in the form of exhibition reviews and occasionally baby essays, videos or podcasts, and work from their respective cities of London and Liverpool.
This event is free and all are welcome.
