New Positions

  • Friday, November 11, 2016 - 10:00 to 17:30

Naked Craft is a touring exhibition of the work of 22 contemporary makers from Scotland and Canada.

As part of the exhibition, the Naked Craft Network is holding a one-day symposium at Edinburgh College of Art (ECA) for makers, curators, collectors and researchers.

Featuring eight invited speakers - including four of the show’s curators, two of its exhibitors, and two craft consultants - the event aims to re-evaluate the impact of tradition on contemporary practice.

It will also provide an overview of the current climate for craft and of the opportunities and support available to makers in Canada and Scotland.
