'Material fluiditity' is a joint exhibition of work by members of the RAFT Research Group at Edinburgh College of Art and the Craft Cultures Research Group at Birmingham City University.
The exhibition will showcase a range of work exploring the theme of material fluidities (materiality and making); the aim is to create an interdisciplinary platform of discussion and build creative insights around different approaches to materiality through the use of craft based knowledge and advanced digital technologies.
Works on show by Claire Price, Collette Paterson, Cristina Nan, Carlos Bausa Martinez, Dirce Medina Patatuchi, Eleni Panourgia, Frank Cooper, Gregory Alliss, Helen Pain, Jennifer Gray, Jessamy Kelly, Nick Mols and Stephen Bottomley, Timon Tio. A series of digitally crafted glass work will also be shown by Master’s students from the ECA Glass Programme: Alexandra Hirst, Jane Robertson, Katherine Southam, Marianne Le Gallo, Moonju Suh and Yinan Chu.
