O’Donnell + Tuomey, Going On

Sheila and John will explore aspects of continuity in their work, including work going on site this year. They will seek to identify compatible strategies that have been developed through different design iterations. Each project needs to be purpose-made for its particular client, each with its functional requirements and within its own limits of scope and context. Despite this undeniable individuation, an architects work is never discontinuous, internal coherences tie buildings together into a body of work. This lecture will look for connected thoughts going on between projects. And they will discuss recurring preoccupations that keep an architect going on.
