Maria Fusco (Chancellor's Fellow and Reader at Edinburgh College of Art) will speak with internationally-acclaimed artist Tony Oursler about his work, along with James Lingwood, Co-Director of Artangel.

Tony Oursler was a pioneer of video art in early 1980s New York. He uses projection, animation, montage and live action to create haunting and compelling installations. Oursler draws on a wide research base including art history, parapsychology, scenography, anthropology, mimetic-technology, phenomenology and neuroscience.

James Lingwood commissioned Tony to create The Influence Machine, part of the Artangel Collection, which will be presented each evening from 23-26 November in George Square Gardens from 7.00-9.00pm.

Directly following this event, audience members are invited to a preview of The Influence Machine before it opens to the general public.
