The Equality Challenge Unit's (ECU) Athena SWAN Charter has been developed to encourage and recognise commitment to combating underrepresentation and advancing the careers of women in science, technology, engineering, maths and medicine (STEMM) research and academia. The Athena SWAN Bronze Award recognises success in advancing gender equality and developing an inclusive working culture for all staff, both male and female.
