The winners of a two-part competition which was open to both current ECA students and alumni are getting to work on their newly commissioned pieces.

The three-year Heritage Lottery-funded project has digitised over 4,000 historic images taken in the 1980s and is now making them publicly available as part of the Tower Block-UK Slide Archive.

Two of the three 2017 residencies have been awarded to ECA students: Daphne de Sonneville (Art); and Katerina Talianni (Music).

Alumni and research recognised in both award categories at the E Club pitching competition.

Danielle Smith will begin her research in September 2017.

Wayne Mazadza secured the funding from South London Shorts after several competitive pitch stages.

Applications are invited for the Astaire Art Prize 2017. The deadline is 5pm on Wednesday March 29th, 2017.
