To apply for a taught or research-based postgraduate programme at ECA, you must use the University of Edinburgh’s online management system, EUCLID. This is fully integrated with the University of Edinburgh Degree Finder, which details all our programmes and research areas, their entry requirements, study modes, available start dates, fees etc.

Taught postgraduate degrees

Degree Finder will tell you what you need to prepare and submit in support of your application, and the deadline for this submission. In some cases, this will be a portfolio, study proposal or showreel.

Postgraduate research degrees

All applicants for postgraduate research degrees must submit a research proposal. Each of our five schools has guidelines on how to draft a proposal. Where a portfolio or writing sample is also required, school guidelines will make this clear.

How to upload a portfolio to EUCLID

When applying to certain programmes you need to supply a portfolio. To find out if this applies to you, check on the Degree Finder site for the individual programme you are applying to. Below is a link to a guide on how to upload a portfolio to EUCLID as part of your application.
