Applications are invited for the Astaire Art Prize 2017. The deadline for submitting applications is 5pm on Wednesday March 29th 2017.
The Astaire Art Prize is awarded to an outstanding undergraduate work by a 3rd or 4th year student at Edinburgh College of Art.
Students are encouraged to submit a single entry of drawing, sculpture, painting, photography or film (no larger than 1 metre in any direction) to the competition, along with a supporting statement about your work.
The work will be judged in two stages:
The initial submission should be a single document (PDF) of a maximum of three images (300dpi) of the individual work, with a supporting statement (maximum 300 words), submitted on or before 29th March 2017.
From these entries a shortlist will be made.
The Astaire Art Prize Committee, composed of faculty and guest judges, will review the physical work of the shortlisted entries and supporting material in college and recommend the winning entry on 7th April 2017.
A prize of £3,000 will be awarded to the winning entry, as well as two runner-up prizes of £750.
Please submit your image(s) and text to Catriona Morley by 5pm Wednesday 29th March 2017: firstname.lastname@example.org
