Reid School of Music believes that sharing knowledge, experience, and expertise are vital to the academic process, and this is something that all staff actively support and foster. 

For this reason, a technical support team is on hand to help you with any studio or equipment queries.

Music studio and equipment support includes:

Studio manager

Based on the ground floor of Alison House the studio manager’s office is open 9-11am and 2pm-5pm Monday through to Friday. Here you can collect and return loan equipment, ask for audio advice, report faults and ask for help when working in the studios.

Graduate studio assistant

The graduate studio assistant is on a fixed-term post, from September to May. This rotates annually, allowing recent graduates the opportunity to gain professional experience within the Reid School of Music’s studios.

This person also proves to be a vital contact point and source of technical advice for students who are on a programme that the graduate studio assistant may have only recently completed.

Studio fault support

Any studio faults can often be solved by a quick phone call to our full-time studio manager from each studio's internal phone.

They can also be raised by sending an email to Our technical support team will deal with any equipment issues as soon as possible.
